BYD Transponder Technology

BYD car keys use advanced transponder technology for optimal security and perfect compatibility with immobilizer systems.

Types of Available Transponders

• ID46 / Hitag 2 – used in models like Dolphin and Atto.

• ID48 / Megamos Crypto – for Seal, Seal U, and Tang.

• BYD Keyless Transponders – integrated into premium models such as Han and Sealion 7, enabling keyless entry and start.

You will receive a complete car key. That is, a car key including electronics (remote control) and transponder. The electronics ensure that you can open and close the car remotely. The transponder (also called immobilizer) ensures that you can start the car. We also supply a battery with it.

The programming (also called linking / learning / reading) of this car key will have to be performed by a car company, specialist garage or car diagnostics company. Before ordering, ask a company in your area if they can program the key for you.
